ABSTRACT

MAKI is a distributed AI intelligence platform that merges four powerful forces: artificial intelligence, narrative lore, decentralized productivity networks, and community-driven creative storytelling.

At its core, MAKI is an AI model being trained by her own community — a first in the space. Users power MAKI's intelligence by running compute nodes from their own hardware, earning Credits (CR) for every conversation generated. These Credits form the backbone of a reward ecosystem that spans comic authorship, affiliate marketing, and long-term platform ownership stakes.

MAKI's goal is to reach 70 billion high-quality training conversations within six months of public launch, powered by a global fleet of community-run nodes and supported by millions of users who believe in the mission.

THE PROBLEM

Training a world-class AI model requires three things that only large corporations currently possess: massive compute power, enormous proprietary datasets, and centralized control over the intelligence itself.

This creates a fundamental imbalance: the people who use AI have no stake in its intelligence, no say in its direction, and no reward for their contribution. Meanwhile, AI companies extract value from billions of human interactions while giving nothing back.

MAKI's training pipeline is powered by a globally distributed network of community-run PC nodes. Each node runs a local Ollama instance, generating synthetic high-quality conversations that are scored, filtered, and submitted to the central training pipeline.

HOW IT WORKS

• User installs Ollama and runs the MAKI node setup file
• Node app runs in browser at node.makiai.app — no technical knowledge required
• Workers generate conversations using local GPU compute (llama3.2:3b or llama3:8b)
• Each conversation is scored for quality (minimum score: 55/100)
• Accepted conversations are submitted to the MAKI training database
• Credits are awarded proportionally to hardware tier and conversation quality

The MAKI Comics platform is a fully open creative ecosystem where any user can submit original work for publication within the MAKI universe. The system is structured, editorial, and rewards quality — just like a real publisher.

WHAT GETS PUBLISHED

• Original stories set within or adjacent to the MAKI universe
• Standalone stories that reflect the AI · lore · crypto themes
• Exceptional work may be invited into the main MAKI canon series
• Published authors receive CR bonuses, platform recognition, and potential revenue share

EDITORIAL HIERARCHY

• Owner / Publisher — Final approval on all canonical content. All major decisions.
• Editor-in-Chief — Reviews editor decisions. Can approve or elevate submissions to the Owner.
• Editor — First-line review. Provides notes, rejects or approves for escalation.
• Copywriter — Assists in editing, formatting, and polishing submissions.

Users can apply for editorial positions. Editors are approved by the Editor-in-Chief. The Editor-in-Chief and all senior roles require Owner approval.

THE NODE NETWORK

The MAKI node network is a distributed GPU compute fleet powered entirely by community hardware. Any PC, Mac, or Linux machine with a modern GPU can become a node. The network is designed to grow without infrastructure cost to MAKI — every new member brings their own hardware.

• MAX Tier — RTX 40/50 series, A100, 3090 class GPUs. 32 parallel workers. 1.5x credit multiplier.
• HIGH Tier — RTX 3070/3080, RX 6800 class. 16 workers. 1.2x multiplier.

CREDITS & REWARDS

Credits (CR) are the native reward unit of the MAKI ecosystem. They are earned through node operation, quality conversation generation, and platform contributions. Credits are non-transferable in Phase 1 and will transition to on-chain tokens in Phase 2.
